The guided tour
The first time you go into BolloPrint it can feel like there's a lot to take in. So you don't get lost, the application greets you with a guided tour: small cards in your workshop's color (orange, if you haven't changed the brand) that point out, one by one, the important parts of each screen and explain what they're for.
When does it appear?
The tour launches on its own, the first time you open each page. That is, the first time you go into the Dashboard you'll see the Dashboard tour; when you first go into Orders, you'll see the Orders one; and so on for the rest. You don't have to do anything to trigger it.
Once you've seen it, BolloPrint remembers and won't show it to you again when you come back. It also remembers it against your account, so if you log in from another computer it won't repeat the tours you've already completed.
Getting around it
- Click the โ arrow to move to the next step.
- Click โ to go back to the previous step.
- On the last step, click โ to finish.
- Click the โ (top right of the card) to close it whenever you like. There's no harm in closing it early.
Some steps do things for you in order to show them: for example, they open the user menu or bring up a help window so you can see exactly where everything is.
What if I want to see it again?
You can replay the tour for whatever page you're on at any time. At the top right you'll find the "Start tutorial" button (with a rocket ๐), in your workshop's color. Click it and that screen's tour starts again.
๐ก This button only appears when the window is wide enough (a computer or a tablet in landscape). On narrow screens, like a phone's, the tour is still shown the first time, but you won't see the button to replay it.
Which screens have a tour?
Almost every section has its own:
- ๐ Dashboard โ the welcome: the sidebar, your account, help and the Discord community, and where the settings are.
- ๐๏ธ Production (Kanban) โ the board and how to move orders between phases.
- ๐ฆ Orders โ searching, filtering and creating orders.
- ๐ Quotes โ the list, and on each quote the header with the dots, the tabs and the lines.
- ๐งโ๐ผ Clients โ your customer directory.
- ๐ฆ Products and ๐ผ๏ธ Designs โ your catalog, with normal creation and Quick create.
- ๐ฐ Financial โ income, expenses and profit, and how to see the detail behind each figure.
- ๐ฆ Inventory โ the stock and material categories.
- ๐จ๏ธ Printers โ how to get started by connecting the integration with your printers.
- ๐ Calendar, ๐งพ Print history, ๐ Marketplaces and ๐ Global catalog.
On top of that, many detail screens have their own short tour the first time you open one: the detail of an order, a quote, a client, a design, a product, an expense, a printer and a supplier.
In short
The guided tour is there to help you get going without a manual. Let it run the first time, and if one day you can't remember where something was, click "Start tutorial" and let BolloPrint show you again.
